PGA Professionals Steve Thomas & Trey Niven have designed four outstanding clinics aimed to help you improve your golf game. These fully utilise the facilities at El Rompido and prepare you for a fun filled day out on the links.

CLINIC 1: AIMPOINT EXPRESS GREEN READING & DISTANCE CONTROL EXERCISES

Reading the greens has always been tricky for most golfers, having mulitable ways to do it is a great advantage in choosing the right line.

CLINIC 2: MULTIPLE CHIPPING TECHNIQUES AND DISTANCE CONTROL EXERCISES

Having a number of chipping styles is vital to sure success around the greens. We talk about some key techniques and some variables for you to apply.

CLINIC 3: STRIKE YOUR IRONS AND PREPARING TO TAKE A SHOT

Some tips to ensure you keep striking your irons pure and create a pre shout routine to keep you focused when the pressure is on.

CLINIC 4: GETTING OUT OF THE BUNKER FIRST TIME

Leaving the ball in the bunker is a sure way get those big scores. Let's get the ball onto the green first time and stop those blow up holes.

Look to improve where to aim shots, and read the hole to give you the best chance to achieve a low score. Understand how damaging putting the ball in certain locations can be and how to avoid making those critical mistakes.

As many of us know, thinking properly about playing is vitally important. Advice is given on how to deal with certain situations and handling pressure situations.

SHOT SELECTION

Understand which type of shot to use in certain situations. This is a crucial choice that can make the difference in lowering your scores. Often this can be rectified by thinking about the shot requirements in more detail and dispelling come common myths.

GREEN READING

There are many techniques which can be applied to developing your green reading skills. We'll discuss many of these and discover which element s you'll need to consider to achieve success.

Golf El Rompido has two outstanding golf courses. The Alvaro Arana designed North and South courses are a mix of classic wooded parkland and protected marshland, which offers stunning scenery and a good test of golf.

El Rompido North Course

Style: Parkland

Designed by Alvaro Arana, a much-celebrated Spanish golf course architect, Rompido’s second layout has, like its illustrious sister course, utilised the protected and peaceful marshes. Accuracy is the key throughout the round but more so from the tee on the front nine and from the fairway on the back. As it was only opened in 2006, the North Course offers a modern challenge which will require golfers to combine distance with precision – intelligent play is essential.

El Rompido South Course

Style: Parkland

Presenting an engaging mix of classic wooded parkland – with pine trees and orange groves to the fore – and protected marshland, there are many spectacular views on offer not least from the pontoon that carries you over the marsh between the 17th and 18th holes. Opened in 2003, this excellent course was immediately hailed as yet another gem in Costa de la Luz and also offers a golf school, two chipping greens, a putting green, a wedge range and driving range.

Hotel El Rompido Golf is a stunning 5* hotel comprising 184 rooms and 12 suites, characterised by a modern and contemporary design which offers very comfortable accommodation and multiple facilities. 9.48am – 3.30pm Play on the North Course – tee times commence from 9.48am
Afternoon at leisure

9.30am Venture to the nearby town of Huelva for Drinks
